Hi Heather –
I just wanted to give you an update on Lucy at 5 months old. What an amazing puppy! What a great personality! To say she is the smartest pet I have every experienced is an understatement. Can you believe that at such a young age she understands the following words and commands: Sit, Stay, Come, Down, NO! Potty, Shake, Hi Five! Hi Ten! And even Rollover.
When I say, “Lucy, let’s go for a walk!” she goes and gets her own leash and brings it to the door and sits. I can shout out her toys by name: “Get your bone!” “Get your duck!” or “Get your squirrel!” and she knows which to bring. It’s a challenge to keep up with how fast SHE learns new commands.
Lucy is so social with everyone – dogs and humans alike. We are stopped so many times when walking down the streets of Beverly Hills by people that pull over their cars and shout, “What kind of dog is that!?”
Could a starring role in a Stephen Spielberg or Disney feature be far off?! She really enjoys her lessons - not only with me - but also with the great Animal Planet trainer Dina Zaphiris
www.dinazaphiris.com
Also, she hangs out all day at the office and of course the staff love her and the visitors are in awe of the tricks enjoys performing.
During the day when she is not playing with her bones and toys, she sits under my desk and rests, acting like a foot warmer – she is just the mellowest, mostly gentle and best friend anyone could possibly hope for.
THANK YOU!

Hi Heather,
Our vet calls him a furry little angel. We just love him and think that he must be the sweetest puppy ever. My little son said the other day, "I bet all dogs wish they could be as happy as Zack." A neighbor the other day told me that he should be on TV. This neighbor doesn't even like dogs, but loves Zack. He walks up to her wagging his tail so hard, then sits at her feet, cocks his head to the side, and waits for her to pet him. You were right; he is a meet and greeter. His fur is so soft, friendly, cute, goofy, calm and smart. Thank you.
Michele

6-8-2008 - Heather,
I just wanted to send you some recent pictures of Fenway. He is the most fabulous dog! We couldn’t be happier. He is so gorgeous we can’t take him for a walk without getting stopped by everyone who sees him. And his trainer swears he is the best Labradoodle she has ever met. He has such a sweet, lovely temperament and is very playful, social, loving dog. We love him!!

3-2008 - Heather,
I wanted to give you an update on the puppy we adopted from you in hopes that you would share it on your past puppies website section. We want everyone to know how great our dog is. We adopted "George" last June and decided to give him a last name and call him "Jetson." He is the sweetest dog in the world. No one can believe how sweet and mellow his temperament is. Despite constant pestering from his companion in the pic, Hutton, he has never shown the slightest bit of aggression. It is such a comfort to know that you can have anyone in your home and not worrying about having an aggressive dog. Unlike a lot of puppies, he never chewed any shoes, or other items, except his own chew toys. He is just so smart! We were lucky to find your website and find Jetson, our new family member and the best dog ever.
Sincerely,
Suzy Hein

This is Hailey Grace, born 12/9/05 Ling Ling and Marley. Hailey has brought nothing but joy to our lives. She has been the most wonderful addition to our family. We couldn't have asked for a more loving, devoted, smart, comical dog. She's also quite a beauty and is featured in the book "Mutts" by Sharon Montrose. She's done some TV work as well, but mostly she's happy to hang out with her brother the cat and pursue her favorite hobbies - frisbee, ball catching and swimming. I hope to add another Hales Doodle to our family in 2008!

10-18-2007 - Hey Heather….
I thought you might enjoy this photo of Patrick (son of Hannah & JR). He is almost 9 months old, now. He has developed a signature greet when meeting other dogs…he runs up to them and kisses them right on the mouth ( it is well received most of the time). He is definitely a lover and not a fighter. Patrick is my second Doodle and he is by far the kindest, sweetest, gentlest, most sensitive and entertaining pup I have ever had! In this pic, he seems to think he is posing for the centerfold in Dog’s Life Magazine. I enclosed the baby pic you sent me when we chose him from the liter, for comparison. His nickname is Velcro because everything sticks to his coat. Thanks for the fantastic addition to our family.
Sincerely….
Kevin Stone

10-4-07 - Hi Heather,
It was great speaking with you today about adding another Labradoodle to our family. Ryder (out of Pumpkin's and Joey's first litter) has been a wonderful addition to our family. Aside from being a crowd stopper, he is the most lovable and fun-loving dog I could have hoped for. He is incredible with my three kids and he is truly a beloved member of our family. He swims, wrestles and plays hide and seek with my kids, and he is a great walking partner for me. I have to admit...I enjoy playing hide and seek with him too. Thank you so much for your guidance in helping us pick the perfect puppy for our family. As you may remember, I did a lot of research and put a lot of thought into the selection of a puppy. I made the 4 hour round trip to Bakersfield twice before picking Ryder up and taking him home. Your knowledge and care of your dogs was evident to me the first time I visited your home. I appreciate the patience you showed me during my many phone calls and your assurances that you believed I was bringing home a very special boy. You were right and I can't thank you enough. I am sending you two pictures. One is of just Ryder and the other is of Ryder and our 14 1/2 year old Cockapoo Shayna. Despite the size differential, Ryder has always been respectful of his elder. Unfortunately Shayna passed away last week and it has left a big hole our hearts. We do truly believe that having Ryder gave Shayna a little extra "oomph" during this past year. Thank you for giving us a puppy that has truly enriched all of our lives. Perhaps there is another Hale's Labradoodle for us on the horizon.
Lisa Leonard

9-2007 - Hi Heather,
Attached is a picture of Sierra at 7 months with our son Sean. I thought you might like seeing how she has grown. She continues to be just a terrific dog. She brings us lots of joy. All the best to you and your family
Leslie Wright
P.S. We think she is beautiful!!

This is a picture of Mercedes, taken right after her first birthday party at Top Notch. I have Hale Labradoodles to thank for this very special companion. This dog brings incredible joy into our lives.
Thanks again

9/2007 - Hi Heather,
I am just writing to check in and tell you how happy we are with Milly! She is almost 9 months and we can't believe how quickly the past 7 months have gone! We have made friends with our entire neighborhood because we can't go anywhere without being stopped.. I think I have given your website out to at least 50 people! She is such a love and we are so happy that we found you. You did a wonderful job breeding her and raising her has been easier than I ever could have imagined - she was house broken by the end of week 1! She follows me everywhere I go, constantly running from one room to another only to find that I am going right back to that room, I laugh every time! I attached a few recent pictures that we took on our many adventures! P.S. I just ran into a woman the other day when I was walking Milly around Brentwood Country Club. She stopped me to tell me how cute Milly is and it turns out that she has a labradoodle who is 7 1/2 months old (exactly 1 month younger) which she got from you as well and they are 1/2 sisters as Joey sired them both! What a small world! Ha! Thanks for everything!
Katie Richie

8-2007 - Heather,
I just wanted to tell you, that Penni (daughter of Nikki and Joey) is doing so great and is an absolute joy. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. We spoil her at every opportunity. She has had training classes and is potty trained and is doing great. Thanks again for such a wonderful dog.
Lisa and Jeff Cohen

6-2007 - Hi Heather,
Another update. Are little girl is 1 and 1/2 yr old, and got a First Place in Novice Agility. It was our first agility trial and she came in 1st. She is a GREAT dog, still the "cuddle bug", loves to hike the trails, or go for a run on the beach, and the picture says it all with her agility skills.

6-26-2006 - Heather,
We wanted to take a minute to thank you for our new family member, Sydney! When we decided to get a dog, we had no idea how much this little girl would add to our family! She has been an absolute dream to train, and she is so loving with our kids. Also, she has the perfect balance of being able to play and run all over with us and then at other times she is just as content to just sit at our feet. She just likes to be where we are.
We have talked with quite a few people about Labradoodles, and we've learned so much about them. What we have learned, though, is that you really know what you are doing in your breeding. First of all, you have an absolute love for the breed (which we completely understand, now having one ourselves). You care so much about the dogs which makes you so careful about the breeding that you do. You always want to make sure that the dogs and the health of the dogs come first. It's very clear that you do this from your heart We tell people all the time now that we truly believe that Labradoodles are the "perfect dog". Between the no shedding, allergy benefits, their high intelligence and loving nature, we can think of no down side to owning a Labradoodle. We do tell people, though to make sure it's a Hale's Labradoodle! Thank you again, you have given us a wonderful friend for life!
Sincerely,
The Knapp Family......

Here is Coal - he is a truly amazing dog and our entire family is loving him..... Even Jenna (age 8) who was SO AFRAID of dogs prior to Coal arriving in our family! She loves him and she wants him to sleep with her every night! Coal is so CALM and has the BEST TEMPERAMENT. Our training has gone very well - he learns quickly and is virtually house-broken. He is so adorable and loving. We cannot get enough of him! We gratefully thank you for selecting the BEST dog for our family - and for spending a lot of time on the phone with us getting to know our family needs and which dog would be best suited for us. Thank you again and we look forward to buying our second Labradoodle from you soon!
Fondly,
Jane Lorin and family.........
Hi Heather
I work at the hospital 12 hr shifts, sooooo on days off, we go for a walk at the beach. She is keeping us all safe from the seagulls, chasing them into the water. My husband is just in love with her as I am. We are going to the doodle romp in Malibu. I will let you know. She is EVERYTHING that a Labradoodle says and more, she has our hearts. Well, you asked for an up date and pictures....... Sister is 8 1/2 months, (12-09-05) Marly and Ling-Ling. She is 44 lbs, (she was the runt) and is soooo cute, and happy. We cut her hair a few inches for summer, she is really Marly's daughter, she had red high lights before her hair cut. Her obedience trainer just loved her and ASKED, how she was socialized from birth, since she is so happy, and trusting. She now is in training for agility and just started 2 months ago and we are already in advanced classes. We are keeping the jumps low, 6-12 inches, while she is growing. We have NEVER heard her growl, and she is so happy, and bouncy in her walk,
Gay .......

6-19-2006 - Hi Heather,
This is just a note to update you on how Georgia's doing. She's 6 months old today and is a remarkable dog. We're completing her 1st level of training this week, we have spread it out over 2 months and she has done it all very easily, although she's still a little too excited when she first meets people. Brian Lee is our trainer and he has focused mainly on behavior rather than on the specific activity. There doesn't seem to be anything she can't learn at this point. Before I bought Georgia, I thought I would be doing agility trials with the new puppy. When I met you and Georgia, you said her best trait was her patience. You were so right! She is sweet and very patient and loves to follow my directions. But, she doesn't have the high energy and self determination that would make her an agility competitor. So, I've been researching various aspects of therapy work that I can do with her next year, after she completes all the training and I have more time. This seems to be her calling. Everyone who meets her comments on how sweet and calm she is and they love to touch her coat and talk to her. Well, this weekend she proved herself a good candidate for that field! We attended a Dog Fun Day in Huntington Beachhosted by Therapy Dogs of So Cal. There were more than 250 people /150 dogs in attendance. The dogs were of every breed, mix, and size imaginable (there were 4 Labradoodles: 1 from Rutland Manor, 2 US F1s and 1 F1 from Canada). TDSG had it very well organized and had info booths, exhibits of therapy dog work, help with Canine Good Citizen Certification, agility equipment familiarity, and several contests of handler-dog activities that would be meaningful in a therapy situation. There were 10 contests ½ one each for longest sit, cutest tricks, best coat, cutest costume, etc. I guess people in hospitals and others benefiting from dog therapy like to look at a dog's eyes, touch their coat, see them do tricks etc. Each contest averaged 7-8 entrants, except the contest for Prettiest Eyes: there were 30-40 dogs entered in that one. I entered Georgia in it only because it had so many entrants and she would get experience sitting in a confined area (the ring was about 30 feet in diameter) with lots of other dogs and people. We were really packed in there. On the left of us were two gorgeous Afghans, in front of us was a Border Collie, and on our right was a Dachshund with a lady who took one look at Georgia and said, I don't know how they can judge her eyes; they can;t even see them. Four judges walked around and looked at each dog while we all tried to sit very nicely. Just as the last judge passed us, I saw some friends come through the entrance with their Labradoodle. Georgia had done very, very well at sitting with all the dogs and people, and since that was my objective, I got up and quietly walked out of the ring and greeted my friends and went to sit with them under a tree. We were talking and I heard on the loudspeaker, "Georgia where are you? You have won first place in the Pretties Eyes contest." What????? My Georgia? One of the judges came over and got me and said Georgia Won! I couldn't believe it! I walked over with her, got our Blue Ribbon, had our picture taken, and received our prize. Now, you have to know that I've always thought she had very spooky eyes: when I went to pick her up at your place, I was very unsure if I wanted such eyes. Very amber, very wise-owl open. My daughter and several other people have always said she had pretty eyes or unusual eyes and I always thought they were saying that just to be kind. We won!! The therapy people said her eyes would be very good in therapy work they're pretty eyes and Georgia likes to make long, comfortable eye contact with everyone, and that's a good trait to comfort bedridden or incapacitated people. I told them that I planned to use her in therapy for autistic children and they were very excited, saying how valuable that would be. Autistic children have difficulty making eye contact with other people, but could probably do it with a dog who would look back at them.My daughter (who rightfully so said, I told you so, Mom. took the attached pictures when we got home. The picture taken at the event was Polaroid and I can't send it. I thought you would want to brag a little too on how well your baby is turning out so it's o.k. if you want to use these pictures on your web site for future customers. Heather, this is one very special dog and I have grown to appreciate her more and more each day. On a sad note, I had to have my Airedale put down 4 weeks ago, but she lasted long enough for Georgia to have 6 weeks with another dog in the house. I think it helped all 3 of us. I hope this note finds you and your family all well and ready to enjoy summer. Please let me know if you want me to Fax or mail the spay cert.
Dee & Sweet (Eyes)Georgia Brown......
8-21-2006 - Dear Heather,
Here is our beautiful sweet fluff ball- with healthy hips! We love her so much. She is finishing her formal training next week. She is doing beautifully ( not one shoe eaten!) She is very athletic and will start agility class soon. I think she is really strong, So we are grateful she is obedient. Here face and eyes look very human like to us- others too. She gets quite the comments. She and Molly (Dr. Klien's girl) play at the park and daycare 1 time per week. They are adorable together. Molly is taller and more poodle looking lbs. Snickers is shorter, fuller more Marley looking. 47LBs so far. She has a lot of personality, mischievous, bouncy, talkative ( especially to herself in the mirror), loves to chase birds, ducks, and mice. Let us know what you think of her. If she is more like Mom Tierre or Dad Marley. Hope you're well,
Hale and Anne Milgrim.........

11-21-05 - Dear Heather,
Thank you for our darling puppy Murphy. He is so smart and mellow. In just over a week, he has learned to come, sit, shake, and stay. Even his house training is going well. Our children love him. When my four year old daughter picks him up, he doesn't complain at all. He looks like a stuffed animal in her arms.
What a refreshing change from other dogs we have owned! I didn't know there could be such a difference. He is a great addition to the family.
Sincerely,
Jim, Bernadette, Meghan, Collin, Devon, Jack, Aidan, Bobby, Mary, John Paul...and Murphy

9-30-05 - Hi Heather,
I'm way overdue in sending this e-mail to you. I just wanted you to know that I am completely in love with my puppy. I don't yet have a photo of him surfing for your website. I decided that obedience training was first (although I did get him his own foam 10" surfboard so wait for that). He has his AKC Canine Good Citizen certification and has passed the test to be a therapy dog. We're starting his volunteer hours at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach. I love him. Everyone loves him. I spent hundreds of hours training him but he is a joy for everyone to be around. I take him to my office a couple times a week and my patients love him. He's bigger than you predicted a month ago his vet weighed him at 84 pounds. That was a 14 months. So . . . although I think he's growing no taller, he may yet fill out a couple more pounds. No problem with that's all the more wonderful to see this happy playful dog just bounding around and making everyone smile at his hugeness and his lovable goofiness. I couldn't be more pleased. I've referred many people to you. I'm attaching a picture of Chewie at the dog park.
Thanks a million,
Karol

3-22-05 - Hi Heather,
It’s been awhile since you heard from us, (no news is good news) so I thought I’d drop you a note. Frank & I cannot Thank You enough for the best dog we received from you. Lucy is awesome. We take her everywhere!! She loves the River and even likes riding on the back of the sea-doo’s. She’s very trained and everywhere we go people love her. She’s great with kids and even thinks of herself as human. As you can see from the pictures I have sent of her, she’s absolutely adorable. Anyways, thank you again and hopefully I can convince my husband to let me get another one.
Thanks,
Violet Simon

1-06-2005 - Dear Heather,
Here is a picture of Zoodle Zoopy...He is know 4 month and doing fine...He handled the flight from Los Angeles to Paris very well, then we took the train to Switzerland, where it's going to be his home...
Thank you so much for this special dog, my mom is very happy, he is very easy to train and very calm and wise for a 4 month puppy...
We wish you a Happy New Year, lots of love,
Harumi

12-26-2004 - Heather,
Jazzy made it home safe, healthy, and happy! My dad and I had a great drive with her, she is so well behaved. She sat on his lap, and then we put her into the carrier for her to go potty on the diaper pad. She is already potty trained, thank you very much for that, I’m sure it’s because of how you raised her so far. She cries a bit or whimpers and we know she has to go potty. She’s gotten used to traveling around in the car, we drove another hundred miles or so round trip on Christmas day with her to relatives’ houses and she was great, slept on one of my daughter’s lap. Last night she slept in her crate and didn’t have any accidents. I took her out at 6:00AM and fed her with my oldest daughter. We both slept next to the crate last night so Jazzy wouldn’t be lonely. This was the best Christmas we’ve ever had, very magical. My kids didn’t care about opening any presents after they saw Jazzy. I don’t think she’s been out of anyone’s sight, including when she’s asleep. She slept a lot yesterday and today she’s been very active. She’s the best puppy we could ever imagine having and will be a very very special part of all of our lives. Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you’ve done to be able to allow us to care for a dog like Jazzy. At first, I thought the cost was high, but now I realize you can’t really put a price tag on a puppy like this, she’s worth every cent I paid and probably much more. We don’t have a digital camera, otherwise you’d have pictures attached to this e-mail. We’ll get some digital pictures sent to you in the next few weeks though. I did get your message today and tried calling back a short while ago. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas. From all of us Eiseles down here in San Clemente (Mark, Kathy, Melissa, Amber, Brooke & Jazzy), I want to say THANK YOU! once again. You’re the best.
Sincerely,
Mark

We're loving our Snickerdoodle. He's the perfect dog! He is the star of puppy training classes. He learns so quickly it's amazing! The trainer with 30 years experience has never worked with a Labradoodle and has never seen a dog learn so quickly. We're all loving him. The kids have some sibling rilvarly going on with the dog and he's big enough to bother them but minimally like knocking into them, stealing toys and licking their sticky hands.... etc.. but it's a fun time. Our sitters and everyone who sees us with him stops us and loves our dog. He's a great addition to our family and we couldn't be happier. We had him neutered a few weeks ago and he had to live in his crate with a cone the Vet was laughing and said yep it's always the smart dogs that find a way to scratch and bite at their wound. We were all very sad to see him crated so much during the three days but it was a happy reunion when he was healed enough to leave it alone.
Thanks again for the perfect dog.
Karen
Good Afternoon Heather
What a thrill it was to see you with Florence and the puppy you donated.my wonderful sister in law has had two bone marrow transplants at that hospital and she is doing great.. Also a update on Cali, took him to the vet on Monday for more shots and he is up to 15 lbs and doing wonderful.he is such a pleasure to own. happy to say sleeping all night and house broken.. but the best of all still no problems with my grandson. We will have him neutered after all his shots are complete. Do you then want me to mail you the certificate. I hope all is well with you and the family and maybe we will see you on the lake!!
God Bless and take care,
Charleen

Yes! Of course you can put our adorable puppy on the website. Nalu is graduating from puppy school this Wednesday. He knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake and speak. He is a very mellow puppy and just gets excited when he sees other people but quickly quiets down. He isn’t potty trained yet but we are making good progress. He is so good in his crate and sleeps through the night without a peep. He’s not crazy about Cutter and me leaving for work and school but he’s getting better about it and seems to quiet down. He is so loving and playful and loyal and cute. We just love him!
Thank you so much!
Lorri
Hi Heather,
Riley arrived on time and none worse for the wear. He was a little shy coming out of the crate. Then licked everyone and started wagging his tail. He's very sweet. He had a drink of water and some food . Crate arrived clean. He seems to have held his own all the way across country! He peed and pooped a few times and we were on our way home. He's having a long nap now. He's been playful and gentle. He's a beautiful little guy. We're off to the vet tomorrow. We'll keep you posted on how we all do! Thanks for everything. We'll take good care of him.

Hi Heather,
Eric, Linda, and Jonah Robins here. Just wanted to let you know that "Lil Baby Marla" is now about 17 weeks old, and is cute as a button. She has had perfect health, and weighed in today at 23lbs. She is very smart and friendly, and everyone who sees her on walks stops to pet her and tell us how cute she is. We are working with Brian Lee, who is an acclaimed dog trainer in our area, and he says she has a terrific personality. We just had her spayed today, and so far she is coming along.
Best,
The Robins
